Writing one’s own testimonial is an immensely distasteful affair. It has recently come to my attention that Al Gore has won a Nobel Peace Prize, and I have not.
We live in terrifying times.
Still, I have discovered that there are people with worse CVs than mine, and this has kept the lid on the cyanide bottle shut. Max Weber, for example:
